My Story

Concrete Texture

About 5 years ago, I began to create bookmarks for my friends with some of the bible verses and passages I had grown to love.  On one side I would type in the bible verse with a simple design and on the other side a note to encourage or tell how they had inspired me.  During this time, I noticed the Christian market flooded with bible verses or snippets of God’s word on crafts of all sizes and assortments.  I would write down many of my favorites, with plans to read the passage when I had time.  I discovered that as I read the verse in context I was encouraged to read more. I figured there are others like me probably wanted to see more of the text surrounding the verse.  This was when I began to place the paragraph, or if space allowed, the chapter that included the verse on the back of the bookmark.  The name Live by Every Word came one day as I searched for a name for my newfound love.  It comes from the passage in Matthew 4 when Jesus is tempted in the wilderness.  The first verse Jesus uses to refute the devil is in Matthew 4: 4. Jesus said, " Man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."  That verse inspired me to share God's Word in this way.

The Calendar Journals were inspired as a way to have a calendar and journal all in the same notebook.  I created the calendar journals with 12 bible chapters one for each month along with journal pages that included verses and passages from the chapter. These journal pages replaced the weekly/daily calendar pages.  I currently have three Calendar Journals titled, Live by Every Word- Matthew 4, Taste and See that the Lord is Good, - Psalms 34, and Here Am I Send Me! – Isaiah 6.

My desire is that as you read a verse you will be inspired to read the chapter, the book, the bible to Taste and See that the Lord is Good and with a growing desire to Live by Every Word growing closer to your Lord and Savior and with a heart cry of Here Am I Send Me!

Love in Christ,
